1. Water supply type: plastic-coated steel pipes.
The inner surface of the plastic-coated steel pipe should be smooth, with low flow resistance, increased flow rate, and no scaling or microbial growth, thus ensuring sufficient flow rate and performance, saving energy, and protecting the environment. Furthermore, plastic-coated steel pipes possess excellent chemical corrosion resistance, water resistance, and solvent resistance, solving the corrosion problems caused by water transportation, burial, and acids, alkalis, and salts on fire-fighting pipelines. This greatly extends the service life of the pipeline, reaching up to 50 years.
2. Inner surface of plastic-coated steel pipes:
(1) Pinhole test of plastic-coated steel pipes: The inner surface of both internal and external plastic-coated steel pipes is tested using an electric spark detector; no electric sparks are generated.
(2) Adhesion of plastic-coated steel pipes: The adhesion of the polyethylene coating of the plastic-coated steel pipe should not be less than 30/N10mm; the adhesion of the epoxy resin coating is grade 1-3.
(3) Bending performance of plastic-coated steel pipes: After bending, the coating of plastic-coated steel pipes with a nominal size not exceeding DN50 should not crack or peel.
(4) Flattening performance of plastic-coated steel pipes: After flattening, the coating of plastic-coated steel pipes with a nominal size greater than DN50 should not crack or peel.
(5) Impact performance of plastic-coated steel pipes: After impact testing, the coating of plastic-coated steel pipes should not crack or peel.
(6) Hygienic performance of plastic-coated steel pipes: The hygienic performance of plastic-coated steel pipes used for transporting drinking water should meet the requirements of CJ/T120-2016.
3. Transportation and storage of plastic-coated steel pipes.
Plastic-coated steel pipes should not be thrown or violently impacted during transportation. Nylon straps should be used for hoisting during loading and unloading. Plastic-coated steel pipes should be stacked flat indoors or in a cool place. When stored outdoors, they must be covered with a rain shelter and kept away from heat sources and fire. They should not be stored outdoors in direct sunlight or in extremely cold places for extended periods. Do not store with toxic or hazardous substances.
4. Application Areas of Plastic-Coated Steel Pipes
(1) Plastic-coated steel pipes are used in various types of circulating water systems (civilian and industrial circulating water), offering excellent performance and a corrosion-resistant lifespan of up to 50 years.
(2) Plastic-coated steel pipes are used in fire-fighting water supply systems.
(3) Plastic-coated steel pipes are used for water supply and drainage in various buildings (especially suitable for hot and cold water systems in hotels, restaurants, and high-end residential areas).
(4) Plastic-coated steel pipes are used for transporting various chemical fluids (resistant to acid, alkali, and salt corrosion).
(5) Plastic-coated steel pipes are used for underground pipes and road crossing pipes for electrical wires and cables.
(6) Plastic-coated steel pipes are used for ventilation pipes, water supply, and drainage pipes in mines and shafts.
