1. If the buyer has special requirements for the packaging materials and methods of the spiral welded steel pipes, these should be specified in the contract; otherwise, the supplier has the option to choose the packaging materials and methods.
2. The packaging materials for spiral welded steel pipes should comply with relevant regulations. If no specific packaging materials are required, they should be suitable for the intended use to avoid waste and environmental pollution.
3. If the customer requires that the spiral welded steel pipes not be damaged by bumps or knocks, protective devices can be considered between the pipes. Protective devices can use rubber, straw rope, fiber cloth, plastic, pipe caps, etc.
4. Thin-walled spiral welded steel pipes, due to their thin walls, can be protected with internal supports or external frames. The supports and outer frames should be made of steel of the same material as the pipes.
5. National regulations stipulate that spiral welded steel pipes should be packaged in bulk. Bundling can be considered if the customer requests it, but the diameter must be between 159mm and 500mm. Materials should be bundled and secured with steel straps, each strap twisted into at least two strands, with the number of strands increased appropriately based on the outer diameter and weight of the spiral steel pipe to prevent loosening.
6. If the spiral steel pipe has threaded ends, thread protectors should be used. Apply lubricant or rust inhibitor to the threads. If the spiral steel pipe has slits at both ends, end protectors can be added as required.
7. When loading spiral steel pipe into containers, line the inside of the container with soft, moisture-proof materials such as woven fabric or straw mats. To prevent the spiral steel pipe from scattering inside the container, it can be bundled or have protective supports welded to the outside of the spiral steel pipe.
