Reduce the damage to the natural environment caused by construction operations, prevent any environmental pollution accidents during work, and discharge various pollutants after meeting the relevant national standards. For example, in the protection of the cultural relics of the Zhongshan Grottoes in Shaanxi Province, where the pipeline passes through, the excavation of pipe trenches has been minimized, the amount of blasting charge has been controlled, and necessary test explosions have been carried out. In the forest area at the top of Dajian Mountain, where the pipeline passes through the lush forests, tunnel construction is adopted in the design, and the investment in pipeline engineering is increased locally to avoid damage to the trees; the Targeted special design was carried out, using lime-soil backfill to widen the cave, construction of intercepting and draining ditches, vegetation, and other works and water conservation measures; in the design and construction, the centralized stacking and protection of waste slag generated by tunnel construction were considered; Appropriate engineering construction measures such as flow drainage, filling and plugging, deep burial, and water blocking walls shall be adopted to ensure the safety of pipelines and reduce soil erosion and other measures. These seemingly small practices have virtually laid a solid foundation for environmental protection, which also creates conditions for pipeline safety.
