How to prevent decarburization of steel pipes

Once decarburization occurs in the production process of the steel pipe, it will affect the subsequent process, and also reduce the high-quality performance and service life of the steel pipe itself, so manufacturers usually take appropriate measures to avoid or solve this problem.

Under normal circumstances, there are two ways to avoid decarburization, one is the most commonly used and the simplest, which is to use the protective properties of nitrogen to maintain the pressure in the furnace, and the production workers can add or inject nitrogen into the furnace according to the proportion Non-toxic nitrogen can not only prevent the outside world from decomposing into oxygen and water vapor, but also effectively disperse the existing oxidizing gas in the furnace. Without the reaction medium with the carbon element on the surface, there will be no decarburization It can also reduce the area that has been decarbonized. Another method is to control the content of carbon dioxide in the furnace according to the balance point of the workpiece. According to expert research, if the balance point in the furnace is higher than the content of carbon dioxide and other oxidizing gases, then there will be no decarburization and oxidation. phenomenon; if the carbon dioxide content is equal to the equilibrium point, it will show a neutral result, that is, no decarburization and no oxidation; the last result is also the main cause of decarburization, that is, the oxidizing gas content in the furnace is already higher than the equilibrium, Therefore, to avoid the occurrence of decarburization, it is necessary to calculate the equilibrium point according to the temperature and carbon content inside the workpiece, and then control the content of oxidizing gas in the furnace.
