The materials and uses of straight seam steel pipes

The materials and uses of straight seam steel pipes are different. Now let’s divide the types of straight seam steel pipes:

1. Straight seam steel pipes are mainly used to transport general low-pressure fluids, such as water, gas, air, oil, and heating steam. Pipe ends are divided into non-threaded steel pipes and threaded steel pipes. The specification for nominal diameter steel pipe, usually in inches, which is an approximation of the inside diameter. Straight seam steel pipes are not only directly used to transport fluids, but are also used as original pipes for galvanized welded steel pipes for low-pressure fluid transportation.

2. Ordinary carbon steel wire casing is a straight seam steel pipe used to protect wires in industrial and civil buildings, installation machinery and equipment, and other electrical installation projects.

3. Straight seam steel pipe is a straight seam steel pipe parallel to the length direction of the steel pipe. Usually divided into metric electric welded straight seam steel pipes, electric welded thin wall straight seam steel pipes, and transformer cooling oil straight seam steel pipes.

4. Spiral seam submerged arc welding pressure fluid transportation straight seam welded steel pipe is a spiral welded steel pipe made of hot-rolled strip steel, usually formed by a temperature spiral, and welded by double-sided submerged arc welding to transport pressure fluid. Steel pipes have strong pressure-bearing capacity and good welding properties. After various rigorous scientific inspections and tests, it is safe and reliable to use. The steel pipe has a large diameter and high transportation efficiency, which can save investment in laying pipelines. It is mainly used for pipeline transportation of oil and natural gas.

5. A spiral welded high-frequency welded steel pipe for pressure fluid transportation is a spiral welded pipe using high-frequency lap welding. It is usually made of hot-rolled strip steel coils and high-frequency lap welding and is used for the transportation of pressure fluids. Steel pipes have strong pressure-bearing capacity, and good plasticity, and are easy to weld and process. After various rigorous scientific inspections and tests, it is safe and reliable to use. Steel pipes have large diameters and high transportation efficiency. This saves investment in laying pipelines. It is mainly used for oil and gas transportation.

6. Straight seam steel pipe is a kind of pipe blank made of hot-rolled steel strip coils, which is usually formed by double-sided automatic submerged arc welding or single-sided welding.

7. Spiral welded high-frequency welded steel pipes generally used for low-pressure fluid transportation are spiral welded high-frequency welded steel pipes formed by using hot-rolled strip steel as pipe blanks at a certain temperature.

8. Spiral welded steel pipes for piles are made of hot-rolled steel strips, usually formed by double-sided submerged arc welding or high-frequency welding. They are suitable for foundation piles such as civil structures, piers, and bridges.

The production process is simple, the production efficiency is high, the cost is low, and the straight seam steel pipe is developing rapidly. Welded pipes with larger diameters can be produced with narrower billets, while welded pipes with different diameters can be produced with the same billet width. This also reduces productivity, which increases the weld length by 30% and 100% compared to straight pipe joints.
