Types of oil casing

Different types of oil casing used in oil extraction: Surface oil casing protects the drilling well from shallow water and shallow gas layers, supports wellhead equipment, and maintains the weight of other layers of casing. The technical oil casing separates the pressure of different layers so that the drilling fluid can flow normally and protect the production casing. To install anti-burst devices, anti-leakage devices, and liners in drilling. Reservoir oil casings channel oil and gas from subsurface reservoirs. Used to protect drilling wells and stratify drilling mud. When the oil casing is produced, the outer diameter is usually 114.3mm to 508mm.

According to SY/T6194-96 “Petroleum Casing”, it is divided into two types: short threaded casing and its coupling, and long threaded casing and its coupling.
