What are the materials of steel pipe tees

What are the materials of tees? The materials of tee include cast iron, stainless steel, alloy steel, forgeable cast iron, carbon steel, etc. The methods of connection with steel pipes include direct welding (the most common method), flange connection, threaded connection, socket connection, etc. A type of connecting pipe fitting commonly used in pipeline installation, used for connections outside pipeline turns. Connect three steel pipes with the same or different nominal diameters to make the pipeline turn at a certain angle. Three classifications of steel tees: reducing steel tees, Y-shaped steel tees, high-pressure steel tees, etc. According to the production method, it can be divided into: pushing, pressing, forging, casting, etc. The forming of the steel tee joint is to flatten the tube blank that is larger than the diameter of the steel tee to about the diameter of the steel tee, and make a hole in the stretched branch pipe; the tube blank is heated and placed in the forming mold, and a die that stretches the branch pipe is installed in the tube blank; the tube blank is radially compressed under the action of pressure. During the radial compression process, the metal flows in the direction of the branch tube and forms a branch tube under the stretching of the die.

The whole process is formed through the radial compression of the tube blank and the stretching process of the branch tube parts. Different from the hydraulic bulging steel tee, the metal of the steel tee joint branch pipe is compensated by the radial movement of the tube blank, so it is also called the radial compensation process. Due to the use of heated and pressed steel tees, the tonnage of equipment required for material forming is reduced. Hot-pressed steel tees have wider adaptability to materials; especially steel tees with large diameters and thick pipe walls usually use this forming process. Stainless steel tee is a kind of connector between pipe fittings and pipelines. It is mainly used for pipe fittings at pipeline branches.
